[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 2nd, a 'Love Rice Delivery Ceremony' was held at the Jongam-dong Community Center in Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro).
The event was held to donate 100 bags of 10kg white rice to low-income residents by the 'Jongam-dong Church Association' (representative Pastor Park Jung-yong of Areumdawoon Church), which includes 17 churches in Jongam-dong.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the ceremony was conducted with only some association officials participating, without attendance by low-income recipients.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "We thank the Jongam-dong Church Association for supporting low-income neighbors with gifts every holiday, and such sharing during the COVID-19 crisis is a great help to residents in need."

Meanwhile, Jongam-dong Catholic Church (Parish Priest Father Jo Seung-hwan) also carried out donation activities for the holidays, following last year's Lunar New Year and Chuseok. At the end of January, they donated 1 million won for low-income residents through a non-face-to-face method, spreading warmth around. This fund will be used to support medical expenses, living costs, and education expenses for low-income residents.
