Church Located in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Caught Violating In-Person Worship Ban Order
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] A Protestant church located in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City was caught holding a worship service in violation of the administrative order banning in-person worship.
According to quarantine authorities on the 6th, the A church forcibly held an in-person worship service around 8 p.m. the previous night.
It is known that about 40 church members attended the service at that time.
When the quarantine authorities received a report that people were gathering with the lights off at A church, they proceeded to verify the situation on site.
They also stopped the in-person worship service and sent the church members home.
Officials of A church, where the violation of the administrative order was detected, are expected to be reported for violating the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act.
