Naju-si Implements Comprehensive Measures for Lunar New Year Holiday... Minimizing Citizen Inconvenience
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do, is implementing a 'Comprehensive Plan for the Lunar New Year Holiday' to ensure a safe and comfortable holiday.
The city announced on the 5th that, amid a nationwide atmosphere of refraining from hometown visits due to the extension of social distancing measures, it plans to focus administrative efforts on implementing sector-specific measures including quarantine, transportation, medical care, environment, and safety.
The city will operate a comprehensive situation room at City Hall and 20 eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers from the 11th to the 14th.
The comprehensive situation room is composed of 13 teams covering transportation, price stabilization, fuel supply, road repair, household waste collection, disaster and safety accident response, health and medical care, handling of civil complaints, and livestock infectious disease measures.
An emergency medical system will be established to prepare for emergency patients and minimize medical service gaps.
During the holiday period, the emergency rooms of Naju General Hospital and Bitgaram General Hospital, which are emergency medical institutions, will operate normally, and 31 locations including local hospitals, clinics, and holiday duty pharmacies will be open.
Since operating hours vary by hospital and pharmacy, visitors are advised to check the Naju City Health Center website in advance or contact the emergency medical situation room.
The health center will treat this holiday as a critical turning point for COVID-19 quarantine management and operate a 24-hour emergency quarantine task force.
The health center screening clinic operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Naju General Hospital screening clinic will have emergency staff on duty from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next day for COVID-19 diagnosis and testing.
Any citizen can receive a COVID-19 test regardless of symptoms.
The city will operate integrated civil service counters at City Hall and 20 eup, myeon, and dong offices from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the holiday period for issuing various certificates and providing civil complaint guidance.
At the integrated civil service counters, residents can obtain documents such as resident registration certificates and family relation certificates, and up to 62 types of civil documents can be issued at unmanned civil document issuance machines.
To minimize citizen inconvenience caused by waste disposal issues, emergency waste collection duty and cleaning task forces will also be operated.
Household waste and food waste will be collected on the 11th and 14th respectively, and inquiries or complaints about waste collection can be made to the City Hall Cleaning Resources Division.
In accordance with the government's extension of social distancing guidelines until the 14th, the city urges residents to refrain from hometown visits, travel, and ancestral rites during the holiday period.
The Naeyeongsa columbarium facility will be closed from the 11th to the 13th, and Namdo Memorial Park will operate with restrictions through a prior reservation system, limiting family groups to four people and usage time to 20 minutes.
