Naver Strengthens Live Commerce to Foster Korean 'Wanghong'...
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver announced on the 5th that it will discover creator groups specialized in live commerce called 'Live Star' and strengthen their content.
Naver plans to sign contracts with Live Stars who will focus on its live commerce service 'Shopping Live' as their main platform and support them in producing live content.
Naver explained, "As user interest in entertainment-type live shows such as 'Betuman' and 'Rico's Challenge' increases, live commerce itself is showing new possibilities as content."
In fact, in the global live commerce markets such as the US and China, attention is growing toward creators who possess both expertise in products and entertainment planning skills. The 'Wanghong (famous creators)' in the Chinese live commerce market is a representative example.
Naver first signed contracts with broadcasters currently active on Shopping Live, such as Seo Kyung-hwan, Rico, and Kim Haena, and plans to discover 'Live Stars' through Naver platforms like blogs and Knowledge iN Experts.
