Gwangju Shinsegae Launches Youth Small Business Support Project 'Goodbye Corona'
Donation of 10 Million Won from Campaign Proceeds
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 4th that it will hold a COVID-19 support campaign under the theme of the Youth Small Business Support Project Goodbye Corona at the first-floor event hall throughout this month to encourage citizens exhausted by COVID-19.
This campaign is a continuation from last month.
Gwangju Shinsegae has already sponsored 10 million KRW in proceeds to be raised through this campaign.
The handover ceremony was attended by Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City; Lee Dong-hoon, CEO of Gwangju Shinsegae; Ha Sang-yong, Chairman of the Startup Support Network; Yoon Bong-ran, Chairperson of the Social Cooperative Sallim; and Jang Woo-cheol, Secretary General of the Gwangju Talent Donation Center, who graced the occasion.
Selected underprivileged neighbors in Seo-gu will receive packages worth approximately 50,000 KRW, which will be delivered to 190 households.
The production and delivery of the packages will be handled by the Startup Support Network, Social Cooperative Sallim, and Gwangju Talent Donation Center.
The packages will be made using products from good-hearted young small business owners in Seo-gu, including domestically produced tofu, onions, vegetables, and other household necessities.
