Sancheong-gun Operates Pre-Reservation System for Public Cemetery During Lunar New Year Holiday

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 4th that it will operate a prior reservation system for the public cemetery (Bonhyangwon) during the Lunar New Year holiday period (11th to 14th).
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the county will operate a total daily reservation system for mourners through prior reservations, temporarily close some facilities such as the ritual room and restaurant, and prohibit the bringing in of food.
Those who wish to visit the public cemetery must make a prior phone reservation. The maximum is 4 people per family, and the daily number of users is limited to 240 people (160 for the columbarium, 80 for the burial tombs).
In addition, they asked to comply with social distancing of more than 2 meters, absolutely prohibit bringing in food, follow the guidance and control of the staff, and visit dispersedly before and after the Lunar New Year holiday.

A county official said, “We ask residents and visitors to use online memorial services through the e-Haneul Funeral Information System and to refrain from visiting their hometowns. We also ask for wide understanding as the restriction on the use of the public cemetery is a measure for the safety of all of us.”
