[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Soyoung] On the 4th, Yoon Heesook, a member of the People Power Party, strongly criticized the ruling party (the Democratic Party of Korea) in a post on her Facebook, saying, "The current ruling party (the Democratic Party of Korea) keeps exploiting DJ (former President Kim Daejung) and former President Roh Moo-hyun whenever they get a chance, while treating the principles they established as garbage."
Yoon continued, "Former President Kim Daejung introduced preliminary feasibility studies to reform the structure where finances were politically abused, and President Roh Moo-hyun systematically planned fiscal expenditures through the Fiscal Strategy Meeting, firmly entrusting the Minister of Planning and Budget with the role of treasurer," pointing out these facts.
She also cited what is called the "historic fiscal statement" as the remark made by Lee In-young, then floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea during last April's general election, at a campaign rally supporting candidate Ko Min-jung: "If candidate Ko is elected, I will do my utmost to provide emergency disaster relief funds to 100% of the people."
Regarding this statement, Yoon criticized, "The very idea that the ruling party can manipulate national finances at will is a grave mistake."
On the disagreement between Kim Tae-nyeon, floor leader of the Democratic Party, and Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, over the scope of the 4th disaster relief fund payment, she evaluated, "The silence of the head of the executive branch is equally a betrayal of history." She added, "As always, are you just holding out a little and then signaling the Minister of Economy and Finance to follow the ruling party's orders?"

Furthermore, regarding this year’s situation where the Ministry of Economy and Finance became an under-subscribed department in the support for hopeful departments by trainee officials, she interpreted it as a fear of "avoiding the fate of the Dutch boy who died trying to stop the dike from breaking alone, as once the dike collapses, everything is flooded in an instant," which acted as a 'cut-off' from the Ministry of Economy and Finance. She then described the Democratic Party as "the ruling party that breaks the dike of finances to buy votes with the people's money," urging, "Please shout that you will not sell your votes."
