Damyang Office of Education Visits Graduation Ceremony to Encourage New Beginnings
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang Office of Education announced that from the 3rd, it visited the graduation ceremonies held at elementary and middle schools in the district to congratulate the students on their graduation and encourage their new beginnings.
Due to COVID-19, most graduation ceremonies were held non-face-to-face or simplified. The ceremonies strictly followed quarantine guidelines, with only graduates attending, and were held in auditoriums or classrooms depending on the size of the school.
Superintendent Kim Cheolju, unable to see the traditional graduation scenes where family and relatives attended to present bouquets and celebrate, gave each student a mountain rose flower directly along with congratulatory words to support local flower farmers even a little, and the students responded with bright smiles to the unexpected congratulations.
The students attending the graduation ceremony found the images in the nostalgic videos, showing times before 2020 when masks were not worn, unfamiliar, recalled the days they overcame COVID-19 together, and cherished the end of their elementary and middle school days by taking commemorative photos with friends.
