Jeonnam Fire Department Achieves 3rd Place Nationwide in '119 Emergency Medical Service Quality Evaluation'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Department achieved an impressive 3rd place nationwide (province level) in the 119 Emergency Medical Service quality evaluation last year.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) on the 3rd, after ranking 10th in the 2018 quality evaluation, they recorded 8th place in 2019 and 3rd place last year, showing a high upward trend every year.
The 119 Emergency Medical Service quality evaluation assesses 15 indicators, including the 'pre-hospital return of spontaneous circulation rate,' which evaluates whether patients experiencing cardiac arrest are revived through on-site emergency treatment.
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters achieved good results in various emergency quality areas, including improving the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients.
This is analyzed as the result of advanced emergency dispatch systems created by enhancing the emergency treatment capabilities of Jeonnam Fire Department paramedics, operating special emergency squads, and paramedic ambulances (pambulances).
Additionally, through consultation with supervising physicians, they systematically manage the quality of emergency services by evaluating and providing feedback on all emergency activity information from the report reception stage to hospital transfer.
