Changwon City to Provide 33.1 Million KRW per Hydrogen Car Purchased by Citizens
Corporations and Businesses Supported with 35 Million Won ... Applications Open from February
Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, provides 33.1 million KRW in support for each hydrogen vehicle purchase.

The subsidy for hydrogen vehicles is 33.1 million KRW per vehicle for individuals and 35 million KRW for corporations.
The purchase process involves the buyer signing a purchase contract and applying for the subsidy with the hydrogen vehicle manufacturer or dealer, who then applies to Changwon City on behalf of the buyer.
Citizens who have resided in Changwon for more than 30 days as of the application date are eligible to receive the subsidy.
However, recipients of the subsidy must comply with a mandatory operation period of 2 years, and detailed information is posted on the Changwon City website.
Citizens purchasing hydrogen vehicles can receive various tax benefits such as up to 1.4 million KRW acquisition tax reduction and 130,000 KRW annual automobile tax reduction, as well as various benefits including a 50% discount on Changwon City public parking lots and a 50% discount on highway tolls.
In particular, the hydrogen vehicle "Nexo" released this year has upgraded specifications but was launched at a price approximately 1.25 million KRW lower than last year.
The Modern model can be purchased for about 67.65 million KRW, and the Premium model for about 70.95 million KRW.
The city will expand hydrogen infrastructure along with the supply of hydrogen vehicles.
Starting with the operation of the Jukgok charging station in Jinhae-gu in February, the Sarim charging station next to Changwon Central Station, and the Daewon charging station capable of charging all hydrogen mobility including trams, excavators, and drones, are scheduled to be completed this year.
