Gunwi-gun Receives 'Minister of the Interior and Safety Award' in Active Administration Comprehensive Evaluation... The Only One in Gyeongbuk Province
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gunwi County in Gyeongbuk announced on the 3rd that it was selected as an excellent institution nationwide in the '2020 Local Government Proactive Administration Comprehensive Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
This comprehensive evaluation of proactive administration was conducted for the first time since the enactment and implementation of the Local Public Officials Proactive Administration Operation Regulations in 2019. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducted the evaluation through cross-assessments by proactive administration officers of local governments and a panel of private experts.
The evaluation indicators consisted of 5 categories and 18 detailed indicators, and Gunwi County is known to have scored highly across all indicators. In this evaluation, Gunwi County was selected as one of the three county-level local governments nationwide to receive the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award. It is also the only one among the 23 cities and counties in Gyeongbuk Province.
Kim Ki-deok, Acting County Governor of Gunwi, said, "This achievement is the result of the entire staff's joint efforts to overcome passive administration through proactive administration education (non-face-to-face) for all employees over the past year, publication of a collection of excellent proactive administration cases, and a proactive administration slogan contest," adding, "We will continue to strive to create tangible results that residents can feel through proactive administration practiced one step ahead."
