Jin Air Introduces 'SmilePay' Easy Payment Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Jin Air announced that starting from the 3rd, it will be the first domestic airline to offer eBay Korea's 'SmilePay' simple payment service.
SmilePay is a system that allows customers to make payments easily using a 6-digit password or fingerprint authentication by linking their credit card, debit card, or bank account.
Customers can select their desired itinerary on the Jin Air website's mobile web or app and proceed with payment using SmilePay during the ticket booking process. Afterward, the ticket booking is completed with a simple payment authentication without the need for installing a separate certificate. Additionally, SmileCash previously accumulated can be used like cash when booking tickets.
Meanwhile, Jin Air has been expanding convenience for domestic and international customers by introducing various simple payment services such as KakaoPay since 2015, Naver Pay, Payco, Paybook, PayPal, and Toss. The number of simple payment service transactions increased by about 8% compared to 2019 last year, showing a continuous rise in usage.
