KOTRA to Operate Global Startup Specialized Training Program Starting from the 16th
One Month Program... From 1-on-1 Mentoring to Investment Opportunities
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] KOTRA announced on the 3rd that it will operate the 'Born Global Specialized Training Course' for one month starting from the 16th to strengthen the overseas market entry capabilities of domestic early-stage startups. Born Global refers to companies targeting overseas markets from the early stages of their establishment.
This training course, jointly prepared by KOTRA and Yozma Group Korea, the Korean branch of the global venture capital Yozma Group which has produced 24 Nasdaq-listed companies, provides early-stage startups with knowledge on ▲business model advancement and revenue generation strategies ▲financial statement preparation ▲investment pitching methods ▲market development strategies using e-commerce platforms ▲promising market entry strategies.
In addition, one-on-one customized mentoring with Yozma Group Korea and KOTRA export experts is supported. There is also a mobile live interview opportunity that allows startups to assess the marketability and technical suitability of their developing products and services and discover areas for improvement through an application (app) that enables interviews with potential overseas consumers via mobile phones.
The training targets startups that are ▲Pre-Series A (investment under 1 billion KRW) or below, ▲developing or possessing technology, products, or services capable of entering overseas markets, and ▲have received a 'Potential (Insufficient)' rating in the 'Startup Global Capability Diagnosis.' The Startup Global Capability Diagnosis is a survey-based diagnostic tool developed by KOTRA last year that measures overseas expansion capability levels in four areas: willingness and strategy for overseas market entry, export, investment attraction, and global entrepreneurship.
