Muan-gun Installs Public Wi-Fi at 417 Village Halls
Expecting Reduction in Communication Charges for Residents... Completion by March
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 1st that it will install public Wi-Fi that residents can use for free in all village halls within the county by March.
So far, the county has installed public Wi-Fi in 82 public places and tourist sites with high foot traffic, 19 government offices, and 11 bus stops. This year, it plans to install Wi-Fi in all 417 village halls within the county.

A county official stated, “Once Wi-Fi installation in village halls is completed, it is expected to greatly contribute to closing the internet usage gap for vulnerable groups and reducing communication costs,” adding, “We will continue to survey places frequently used by residents and add more public Wi-Fi installations accordingly.”
