Ssangyong Construction to Supply 6,700 Households in 10 Complexes Nationwide This Year
"Location Will Be Strengthened Through Remodeling, Redevelopment, and Urban Development Projects"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Ssangyong Construction announced on the 1st that it will supply a total of 6,700 households in 10 complexes nationwide this year.
The 'The Platinum' supplied by Ssangyong Construction will have nearly 65% of the total 4,220 households concentrated in Seoul and the metropolitan area, as well as the five major metropolitan cities including Daejeon, Daegu, and Busan. Despite the COVID-19 situation last year, about 8,000 households were sold in 11 complexes nationwide.
In March this year, for the first time in remodeling, the Anam Apartment in Ogeum-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, which received guarantee approval from the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), will begin construction and sell an increased 29 households (total 328 households) to the general public.
In April, it will supply the Masanhappo-gu housing redevelopment in Changwon, Gyeongnam (1,538 households, 874 for general sale) and the mixed-use complex in Hakdong, Yeosu, Jeonnam (423 households). Then, ▲in May, a mixed-use complex in Oncheon-dong, Dongnae-gu, Busan (301 households) ▲in June, a mixed-use complex in Beomeo-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu (966 households), a local housing association in Eupnae-dong, Daedeok-gu, Daejeon (745 households, 237 for general sale), an apartment in Hongseong, Chungnam (477 households) ▲in September, redevelopment of the Goean 3D district in Bucheon, Gyeonggi (759 households, 237 for general sale) ▲in October, a mixed-use complex in Bujeon-dong, Busan (378 households) ▲in December, a local housing association in Jeonpo-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan (750 households, 199 for general sale) are planned to be supplied.
Ssangyong Construction selected 'diversification' as the key strategy to target the domestic housing market this year. A Ssangyong Construction official said, "Following the consolidation of the No. 1 remodeling completion record, we plan to introduce various forms of 'The Platinum' complexes covering all housing sectors such as mixed-use complexes that will become regional landmarks, redevelopment, urban development projects, and luxury housing." He added, "This year, in a situation where market prediction is difficult, we plan to strengthen remodeling and urban maintenance sectors and target the market with diverse products to minimize risks."

Meanwhile, Ssangyong Construction's brand 'The Platinum' ranked 10th in the big data analysis of domestic apartment brand reputation in January conducted by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, rising six places compared to December last year.
