Kim Jong-in, the emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party, made an absurd statement claiming that the Moon Jae-in administration committed acts of treason," he criticized.
He stated, "The government has never planned or promoted the construction of nuclear power plants in North Korea, and no discussions have taken place between the South and the North," adding, "It conflicts with UN sanctions against North Korea, and building nuclear power plants in North Korea using Korean technology and equipment without the consent of the United States violates the Korea-US Atomic Energy Agreement."
He continued, "The People Power Party cannot be unaware of such common-sense facts. Such absurd claims are a ruinous McCarthyism that destroys democracy," and pointed out, "Connecting this to North Korea and accusing the government of treason is itself political manipulation and ruinous identity politics."
