Accordingly, until the 14th, they will conduct guidance and inspections to ensure compliance with COVID-19 prevention rules at mandatory facilities, along with focused disinfection activities at facilities closely related to residents' daily lives, such as traditional markets and sports facilities.
Through the Disaster Countermeasures Headquarters, they will actively respond to the COVID-19 situation and maintain an emergency system for various safety accidents and weather changes.
In particular, COVID-19 screening clinics will operate normally, and six designated on-duty medical institutions and pharmacies will be appointed to minimize medical service gaps.
During the holiday period, household waste, recyclables, and food waste will be collected three times on the 11th and 14th, and on the holiday itself, a special traffic countermeasure team will be organized to support smooth traffic flow in areas expected to experience congestion.
District Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, “We have prepared a comprehensive plan to protect residents' health and safety and minimize inconveniences during the COVID-19 situation,” adding, “We will do our utmost to ensure that both residents and visitors to Gwangju have a safe and comfortable holiday.”
