The major issues reported include projects aimed at creating future growth engines to drive regional development and urban-level, life-oriented SOC-based projects reflecting the cultural and welfare needs of residents. These projects include the successful promotion of the aviation-specialized industrial complex, which began construction in November last year, the creation of new industrial complexes, renewable energy convergence support projects, urban regeneration New Deal projects, construction of the Muan-eup complex cultural center, relocation and reconstruction of the health center, and the creation of octopus resource spawning and habitat areas. These projects secured budgets last year through central government competitions and national treasury requests across various fields.
In addition, to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to COVID-19, a new mobile Muan Love gift certificate was launched considering user convenience. Through effective population, youth, and job policies, the county plans to accelerate the recovery of the population to 100,000 and achieve an early transition to a rural-urban complex Muan city.
Furthermore, as a result of inspecting 90 pledges of the 7th term governor, 40 have been completed, and the average progress rate reached 74%, indicating that the projects are on track.

I ask you to renew your determination and promote proactive and aggressive administration.”
He also urged, “While improving the numerical progress rate of the governor’s pledges is important, please give sufficient consideration to ensuring that the pledges are fulfilled substantively in line with their original intent.”
A county official said, “This report meeting was an opportunity to establish the direction of newly discovered policies and major tasks from last year and discuss development plans,” adding, “We will actively reflect the development plans suggested through this meeting, where we shared tasks with team leaders and listened to the difficulties of frontline sites, and speed up project implementation.”
The county plans to focus on continuous budget request activities targeting central government departments and Jeollanam-do to secure driving force for planned major projects.
