Gwangju City Conducts 'Comprehensive Inspection' of Major Road Lighting Facilities Ahead of Lunar New Year Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 29th that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of lighting facilities on major roads from the 1st to the 5th of next month to ensure the traffic safety of Lunar New Year travelers and create a pleasant road environment.
Together with autonomous districts, the city plans to inspect and repair streetlights that are on or off and unsuitable road lighting facilities in areas with heavy traveler traffic, such as highway entrance and exit roads, major arterial roads, and municipal cemetery parks.
The inspection will focus on the on/off status, fixture defects, and whether the ground-fault circuit interrupters are functioning properly. Any unsuitable facilities identified during the inspection will be immediately repaired to prevent inconveniences and safety accidents that may occur at night.
If there are any inconveniences such as streetlights with a risk of safety accidents or lights that do not turn on at night, citizens can contact the city road department (062-613-4740~3) or the streetlight department of each district office for prompt action.
