The city announced on the 29th that it is operating a non-face-to-face smoking cessation clinic to help smokers quit amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hybrid online and offline smoking cessation counseling program provides customized non-face-to-face counseling via phone or KakaoTalk, with smoking cessation counselors assisting from the decision to quit to success.
Applications can be made on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. by calling the Health Promotion Division of Yangsan City Public Health Center or through the 'Yangsan City Public Health Center Smoking Cessation Clinic' KakaoTalk channel for non-face-to-face registration.
Registered clinic participants receive up to 8 weeks' worth of smoking cessation aids and behavioral reinforcement items by mail or walk-through service.
Those who have been registered for smoking cessation for 3 or 6 months and pass the cotinine test as successful quitters will be provided with commemorative gifts via delivery service.
