Miryang Mayor Park Il-ho Joins the 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge'
Conducted to Build National Consensus on Preventing Traffic Accidents in Children's Protection Zones
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Park Il-ho, mayor of Miryang City, Gyeongnam, participated in the 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge.'
This relay challenge is being conducted to build national consensus on preventing traffic accidents in school zones.
Participants share photos containing traffic safety messages on SNS and then nominate three next participants.
Mayor Park was nominated by Lee Hwan-joo, former mayor of Namwon City, Jeonbuk, and joined the challenge on the 28th.
Mayor Park said, "To prevent children's traffic accidents, it is most important for citizens to cultivate the right awareness," adding, "I ask for your active participation so that a safe and mature traffic culture can be established."

He nominated Han Jung-woo, mayor of Changnyeong County, Gyeongnam, Lim Young-seop, chief of Miryang Police Station, and Jeong Young-hwan, director of Miryang Office of Education, as the next challenge participants.
