Sancheong-gun Expands Small Business Management Environment Improvement Project
Budget Increased by About 170% Compared to Last Year
Apply at Each Eup/Myeon Office by February 26
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that it will significantly expand the ‘Small Business Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Project’ to support overcoming the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) this year.
Since last year, the county has been promoting the ‘Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project’ with support from Gyeongnam Province (50% provincial funds, 50% county funds).
Last year, the county carried out the project with 52 businesses and a budget of 104 million KRW, and this year plans to increase the budget to 176 million KRW to support 88 businesses.
This project expansion is to support local small business owners who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The project aims to reduce the management burden on small business owners and practically supports replacing outdoor signs, improving interior and exterior design, restroom improvements, purchasing and installing POS systems (Point of Sale information management systems), purchasing facility fixtures, and promotional support.
Eligible applicants are small business owners who have been in business for more than six months and are Zero Pay affiliated merchants.
Priority support will be given to those who suffered damage such as stores visited by confirmed COVID-19 patients.
Applications can be made through each eup/myeon office until February 26.
The project will support up to 2 million KRW per store within 80% of the total facility improvement cost per store. The business owner bears 20% of the facility improvement cost and any amount exceeding the support limit.
The county plans to support the project after its own document screening of small business owners and final confirmation by Gyeongnam Province.
