DL E&C Unveils 'Smart Home 3.0' for ePyeonhansesang Residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] DL E&C (formerly Daelim Industrial) announced on the 27th that it will introduce 'Smart Home 3.0' to enhance the convenience of e-Pyeonhansesang residents.
Smart Home 3.0 is characterized primarily by its focus on convenient usability from the customer's perspective and viewpoint. DL E&C implemented improvements based on actual customer usage cases and in-depth survey results.
e-Pyeonhansesang customers can quickly and easily check the desired information through Smart Home 3.0, which is designed as conveniently as using a mobile phone. The design of the smart home application on the wall pad and mobile devices is unified to provide a consistent service experience across various IT devices. Additionally, the menu layout was changed focusing on frequently used functions by actual customers, and a favorites feature was added to enhance user convenience. New additional features requested by customers were also introduced. An indoor air quality monitoring function was added so residents can easily check the current air status. A community reservation and inquiry function (varies by complex) was also added, allowing residents to conveniently check community usage status from home.
Furthermore, a customized ‘Mode’ menu tailored to individual preferences was newly established to strengthen automation features. For example, when wake-up and sleep modes are set, lights automatically turn on or off and curtains open or close at the times set by the resident. Gas lock and security settings are also executed automatically all at once.
Along with the smart home renewal, e-Pyeonhansesang showcases specialized safety and security technologies with attention to detail. A newly introduced ‘Earthquake Detection Alert System’ automatically provides a gas valve shutoff popup with voice guidance when earthquake vibrations are detected within the complex. Additionally, a 'Remote Call System for Doorphone' was established, allowing calls to be answered via mobile phone when the doorbell is pressed, and systems such as 'Visitor History Management' and 'Intrusion Detection Alarm System' were developed to prevent safety accidents. Moreover, a 'Family Location Confirmation System' that can track the location of children or elderly carrying card keys, and an 'Emergency Detection Elevator System' that detects loud noises, screams, or vibrations inside the elevator and immediately notifies the management office in case of emergencies, will also be applied.
A DL E&C official stated, “The key to enhancing residential quality competitiveness ultimately lies in finer details,” adding, “With e-Pyeonhansesang’s technology, which excels in details, we plan to lead residential trends and pursue the premiumization of complexes.”
