View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 27th that it held a report meeting on the progress of pledge projects and directives at the small conference room on the 2nd floor of the county office, attended by County Governor Moon Jun-hee, Deputy Governor Choi Yong-nam, and former senior officials.
The report meeting was conducted in a way to check the implementation status and discuss problem analysis and countermeasures together in order to achieve concrete results in the second half of the 7th local government term.
As a result of the pledge project inspection, out of 78 pledges, 14 more pledges have been completed since the first half of this year, making 39 pledges completed and followed up with subsequent projects, and 39 pledges are currently underway.
The county plans to further specify the unfinished projects realistically to perfectly complete the pledge projects and concentrate administrative power on promoting the pledge projects during the remaining period.
Out of a total of 142 county governor directives aimed at resolving urgent local issues and inconveniences of residents, 121 have been completed, and the remaining 21 will be promptly finalized.
The Clean Energy Convergence Power Generation Complex project was finally reflected in the 9th Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand at the end of last year, and the project is now being actively promoted. Urban gas supply is also scheduled to begin its first phase in November this year.
County Governor Moon Jun-hee of Hapcheon said, “It is expected to revitalize the local economy and greatly improve the energy welfare of residents,” adding, “The smooth implementation of pledge projects and directives will drive regional development and guarantee a comfortable and pleasant life for residents.” He also urged, “I ask all employees to devote their passion to their work so that not only pledge projects but also major large-scale projects can achieve clear results.”

Meanwhile, in 2020, the county ranked first among Gyeongnam counties in the nationwide basic local government heads’ pledge implementation evaluation, and received an excellence award in the climate environment category at the Manifesto Best Practice Competition, proving the achievements of pledge implementation both domestically and internationally.
