Seven Eleven Launches Jeju Island's Famous Dessert 'Dolkaron' Product
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Seven Eleven announced on the 27th that it will exclusively launch a macaron product that faithfully captures the taste and texture of Dolcaron, a famous dessert shop in Jeju Island. Dolcaron is known for its unique macaron shape resembling basalt and its distinctive packaging depicting various Jeju landscapes, gaining popularity on SNS and being regarded as a must-visit gourmet spot when traveling to Jeju.
Seven Eleven's Dolcaron features a chewy black cookie shaped like Jeju's symbolic basalt and is filled richly with hallabong, mango, and vanilla flavored fillings. The product packaging includes an emotional illustration filled with Jeju stone wall patterns and the freshness of canola flower fields.
To faithfully reproduce the taste of Dolcaron as experienced at the actual Jeju Dolcaron store, the Dolcaron recipe development team and the macaron specialist manufacturer Lusikato joined forces. Based on the original Dolcaron recipe and tailored to the convenience store channel characteristics, it was launched after a total of six months of research and development.
