Pohang City Delivers 3 Vehicles to Social Welfare Facilities ... Fruit of Gyeongbuk Community Chest Donations
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the 26th, Pohang City announced that the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea held a vehicle handover ceremony at the city hall and provided one vehicle each to three welfare facilities.
The handover ceremony was attended by about 10 people, including Pohang Mayor Lee Kang-deok, Jeon Woo-heon, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea, and officials from the three facilities receiving the vehicle support.
The Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea annually supports welfare facilities through a vehicle support public contest project to improve the mobility convenience of residents and users of welfare facilities and to provide customized services tailored to the needs of the recipients. Among the total of 30 vehicles supported in 2020, three welfare facilities in Pohang City were selected.
The supported vehicles will be used to enhance transportation convenience and secure smooth means of transportation for the transportation-vulnerable within welfare facilities (Kkum Namu Regional Child Center, Pohang Moja-won, Pohang City Severe Disability Independence Support Center).
