Shinhan Bank Mobile App 'SOL' Temporarily Down... Restored by 3 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Shinhan Bank's mobile application (app) SOL experienced access disruptions on the 25th, causing inconvenience to users. This is analyzed to be due to a surge of users applying for the 10 million KRW loans available to small business owners in the 'Restricted Business Sectors' starting from that day.
According to Shinhan Bank, the SOL access disruption occurred around 10:40 AM that day. When launching the app, a message saying "Please wait a moment, you will be automatically connected" appeared along with an estimated waiting time, but users could not proceed to the next step, or even if connected, it took a considerable amount of time.
As user complaints surged, Shinhan Bank posted on its website, "We apologize for the delayed connection times of the Shinhan Bank SOL app," adding, "We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and will strive to prevent any further issues."
