Gwangju City to Hold Online Public Hearing on Air Quality Management Implementation Plan on the 28th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 25th that it will hold an online "Air Quality Management Implementation Plan Public Hearing" at 2 p.m. on the 28th.
This public hearing will be conducted online in a non-face-to-face manner in accordance with the government's COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, including explanations of the main contents of the Air Quality Management Implementation Plan, expert discussions, and collection of citizens' opinions.
Any interested citizen can watch and participate in real time on the YouTube channel "International Climate Environment Center."
If you are unable to participate in the live broadcast, you can freely submit your opinions through the International Climate Environment Center's communication board online until the 4th of next month. The submitted opinions will be actively reviewed and reflected in the implementation plan.

Meanwhile, the Air Quality Management Implementation Plan is a follow-up measure to the "Basic Air Quality Management Plan (April 2020, Ministry of Environment)" established under the "Special Act on Improvement of Air Quality in Air Quality Control Zones." It aims to establish a plan for air quality management that includes setting goals, basic directions, and strategies to comprehensively and systematically promote fine dust policies such as estimating air pollutant emissions, air quality modeling, emission forecasts by sector (industry, transportation, living), and total emission management of emission facilities.
