Bill Gates Also Received COVID-19 Vaccine... "Got Benefits Because I'm 65 Years Old"
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Bill Gates (65), the founder of Microsoft (MS), has received the COVID-19 vaccine.
On the 22nd (local time), Gates tweeted, "One of the benefits of turning 65 is becoming eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine," and announced that he completed his first dose this week. He added, "I want to thank the scientists, clinical trial participants, regulatory agencies, and frontline healthcare workers who have led us to this point (vaccination)."
Gates has also been a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump's response to COVID-19. In April last year, when Trump decided to halt funding to the World Health Organization (WHO), Gates pointed out, "It is dangerous to stop funding the WHO amid a global health crisis."
