Damyang-gun Signs Business Agreement with WalkOn Developer Swallaby Co., Ltd.
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Jeonnam Damyang-gun (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 22nd that it has signed a business agreement with Swallaby Co., Ltd., the developer of the mobile walking app ‘WalkOn’.
This agreement was promoted to improve the lack of physical activity and the increasing obesity rate caused by restrictions on outdoor activities due to COVID-19, and to enhance proper walking and self-management abilities in daily life through the walking app.
The county plans to actively promote joining the mobile walking app ‘WalkOn’ next month by opening an official community, and motivate walking practice by providing incentives to those who achieve the target steps through a monthly challenge.
To join, install the ‘WalkOn’ app from the smartphone Play Store, select the county’s official community, and then register.
As part of the physical activity project, the county operates a total of 49 health walking clubs centered on towns and townships, receiving positive responses from participants, and plans to expand the project together with the WalkOn initiative this year.
