Namwon-si Selected as an Outstanding Institution in Infectious Disease Management
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon-si, Jeonbuk (Mayor Ihwanju) announced on the 22nd that it was finally selected as an infectious disease management meritorious institution in 2020 and received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency omitted the award ceremony considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation and delivered the awards individually.
This evaluation conducted by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency covered overall infectious disease prevention and management areas such as compliance with medical institution reporting deadlines, reporting rates of medical-related infectious disease sentinel surveillance institutions, and vaccination rates for human papillomavirus (HPV) and pneumococcal vaccine for those aged 65 and older. Namwon-si received high evaluations in establishing cooperative systems related to infectious diseases, compliance with reporting deadlines, and vaccination rates.
