On the 21st, President Moon congratulated President Biden's inauguration through social networking services (SNS), saying, "We support the journey toward 'America United' together with our people."
President Moon said, "America is back. America's new beginning will make democracy greater," adding, "Korea always trusts America's path toward freedom and will stand together as a steadfast ally for peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and in the region."
He continued, "I believe the Korea-US alliance will be further strengthened through cooperation on global issues such as health, security, economy, and climate change," and added, "America will surely surprise the world with 'Build Back Better.'
