View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Miryang City in Gyeongnam Province will conduct a special inspection of streetlights and security lights within the city to ensure safe traffic use for citizens and returning visitors during the holiday season.
The city announced on the 20th that it will inspect 4,725 streetlights along main roads and 10,410 security lights in urban and rural alleyways for issues such as lighting failures, outages, and unsafe conditions requiring maintenance.
The inspection is scheduled to begin on the 20th and be completed by the 10th of next month.
Through this inspection, the city expects to prevent traffic accidents by ensuring road users can travel safely and without anxiety, as well as contribute to alleviating inconveniences for citizens.

A city official stated, “We will respond more promptly to reports of streetlight and security light malfunctions to provide convenience to citizens and prevent safety accidents,” adding, “We will also promote facility expansion annually to contribute to creating a pleasant city and improving road environments.”
