High Pathogenic Avian Influenza Confirmed at Egg-Laying Farm in Eumseong, Chungbuk
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Avian Influenza announced on the 20th that highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N8 type) was confirmed at a laying hen farm (approximately 400,000 birds) in Eumseong, Chungbuk.
Accordingly, the headquarters will implement strengthened quarantine measures including ▲preventive culling of poultry within a 3km radius of the affected farm ▲a 30-day movement restriction and comprehensive inspection of poultry farms within a 10km radius ▲a 7-day movement restriction on all poultry farms located in Eumseong, Chungbuk.
