Southeast Mega City Initiative Starts... Full-Scale Promotion of Gyeongnam-Busan Food Community
Joint Implementation of Metropolitan Food Plans by Both Organizations, Establishing Integrated Food Project Tasks
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongnam Province will jointly establish the Gyeongnam-Busan Metropolitan Food Plan and actively promote tasks to realize a food community in the southeastern region.
The Gyeongnam-Busan Metropolitan Food Plan is a food circulation system reflecting the conditions of Gyeongnam, the main production area of agricultural products, and Busan, the consumption hub.
It is leading the southeastern mega-city through a food community enjoyed together by producers and consumers.
This food plan includes managing production, consumption, and safety information, establishing an integrated metropolitan food information system, securing food safety through a step-by-step inspection system, and hosting events to share food values.
The city plans to discuss safe agricultural product production and supply methods and share food information and private exchange events through the 'Busan-Gyeongnam Food Community Realization Operation Council.'
