The province announced on the 19th, "The head of the Quarantine Countermeasures Promotion Team will concurrently serve as the Director of the Health, Welfare and Women’s Affairs Bureau, directly overseeing infectious disease management tasks, while the existing head of the Infectious Disease Management Division will transition to lead the Quarantine Response Division."
The 'Infectious Disease Management Division' is composed of three teams: 'Infectious Disease Policy,' 'Infrastructure Securing,' and 'Daily Quarantine.' The 'Infectious Disease Policy Team' is responsible for establishing and overseeing quarantine policies, while the 'Infrastructure Securing Team' handles securing hospital beds at infectious disease management institutions, operating residential treatment centers, and supporting medical personnel supply.
The 'Daily Quarantine Team' promotes social distancing quarantine guidelines, manages compliance, and enforces administrative orders. Additionally, the 'Quarantine Response Division' is divided into four teams: 'Crisis Response,' 'Patient Management,' 'Epidemiological Investigation,' and 'Vaccine Management.'
The 'Crisis Response Team' is responsible for initial infectious disease outbreak reporting, diagnostic test support, and overall infectious disease response. The 'Patient Management Team' manages patient severity classification, allocation of hospital beds (residential treatment centers), patient transport and discharge management, and self-treatment.
Furthermore, the 'Epidemiological Investigation Team' conducts epidemiological investigations and on-site situation analysis, while the 'Vaccine Management Team' oversees vaccine supply management, including selecting target populations by vaccination priority, securing and operating vaccination centers, and managing entrusted medical institutions.
