Changwon City Public Job Program Participants in the First Half of the Year 'Competition Rate 7 to 1'
Economic Downturn Due to COVID-19 Causes Surge in Competition Rates
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam, recruited participants for the '2021 First Half Public Job Project' from the 4th to the 15th.
The city will select a total of 1,002 people for 401 projects, including the Local Community Job Project (21 projects, 121 people), Local Quarantine Job Project (136 projects, 323 people), and Public Work Project (244 projects, 558 people) in the first half of this year.
In this recruitment, about 3,600 citizens who participated in last year's COVID-19 Overcoming Hope Jobs and local job projects showed a high willingness to re-participate.
A total of 6,987 applicants applied, raising the competition rate sharply to 7 to 1.
The city selects vulnerable employment groups considering household head status, disabled persons, single-parent families, marriage immigrant women, etc., based on a combined family property of 200 million KRW or less and 65% or less of the median income standard.
Only the selected candidates will be notified on February 26, and work will begin on March 2.
