[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province has recently established a dense defense barrier for rapid connection blocking and launched an all-out response as COVID-19 local infections have occurred continuously, mainly centered on private temples.

Earlier, the province immediately closed the facilities related to Gwaneumsa Temple in Yeongam and Heungdeoksa Temple in Gangjin due to concerns about additional infections. Along with this, an administrative order was urgently implemented recently, mandating visitors to these facilities from December 29 last year to the 15th of this month to undergo diagnostic testing by the 20th.
As a result of comprehensive diagnostic testing to block local infection links, 1,634 people related to Gwaneumsa Temple in Yeongam have been tested so far, with 21 positive and 1,613 negative results.
