According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration as of 10 a.m. on the 18th, a heavy snow advisory was in effect for Gwangju and the Jeonnam areas of Damyang, Hampyeong, and Jangseong.
As of 9 a.m. that day, the observed snowfall amounts were 7.3 cm in Gwangju and 1 cm in Mokpo.
The snow is expected to continue until the afternoon, with some areas experiencing temporary lulls.
The forecasted snowfall accumulation is 1 to 5 cm.

A Gwangju Meteorological Administration official urged, “Visibility will be reduced in areas where snow is falling, and many places will have icy roads due to accumulated or frozen snow, so please pay close attention to traffic safety.”
