Young Artists, Gather at 'Art Space Namgang'!
Recruitment of Resident Artists in Visual Arts Active in the Western Region of Gyeongnam
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do Culture and Arts Center and the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Promotion Foundation are recruiting resident artists for the art creation space ‘Artspace Namgang’ until the 27th.
The recruitment target is visual artists active in the western region of Gyeongnam.
The number of recruits includes one lead artist who has completed proof of artistic activity and has residency experience, and three young artists under the age of 34 without proof of artistic activity.
Selected resident artists can use the art creation space from February to June 2021 and will also receive creative support funds (monthly activity fee of 200,000 KRW and monthly material fee of 150,000 KRW).
A representative of the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center said, “Last year, four artists resided here, achieved good results, and completed their activities,” adding, “We hope this project will help artists who are struggling due to COVID-19.”
