Recruiting 'Clean Tongyeong Guardians' ... Establishing a Public-Private Cooperative Governance System
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Tongyeong City in Gyeongnam announced on the 13th that it will operate the 'Clean Tongyeong Guardians' to listen to complaints about cleaning administration and encourage citizens' voluntary participation in making Tongyeong clean.
Until now, Tongyeong has focused administrative efforts on providing citizens with a pleasant living environment and dedicated itself to creating a clean cityscape. To foster an atmosphere where residents participate together rather than a government-led policy, Tongyeong decided to operate the 'Clean Tongyeong Guardians.'
The Clean Tongyeong Guardians will promote illegal dumping monitoring and proper waste separation methods through online activities, and outstanding participants are planned to receive mayoral commendations at the end of the year.
The recruitment period is from the 13th to February 28th, and any Tongyeong citizen interested in environmental preservation can apply.
Applications can be submitted online or by mail.
