Jinju City Supports 10 Billion KRW to Strengthen Competitiveness in Agricultural Product Exports

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 12th that it will support 10 billion KRW in four sectors to strengthen competitiveness in the agricultural product export field in 2021.
To maintain its status as the nation's top fresh agricultural product export city, the city plans to invest 10 billion KRW in four sectors, including fostering specialized agricultural product production complexes, to enhance the domestic and international competitiveness of export farms and build infrastructure.
It will provide 1.6 billion KRW for 13 projects such as the modernization of horticultural facilities (specialized in agricultural products) to establish a stable production base for export farms, and 7.4 billion KRW for five projects including logistics costs and promotion funds for agricultural product exports to strengthen the competitiveness of export farms.
To ensure the safety of export agricultural products, 800 million KRW will be allocated for agricultural product safety inspections, and 200 million KRW will be invested in activities to pioneer overseas markets for agricultural products to secure new sales channels, fostering sustainable export agriculture and contributing to income stabilization for farms.
