Increased Interest in Electronic Signature Solution 'DocuSign' Due to Ongoing Remote Work
Recent Inquiries Related to DocuSign Increase by Over 53%
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] As face-to-face business became difficult due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), interest in contactless electronic signature solutions has been focused on to normalize work and improve work efficiency.
According to Intellectual Data on the 12th, inquiries related to 'DocuSign' increased by more than 53% in December and January, when social distancing was strengthened, compared to November when DocuSign officially entered the Korean market. DocuSign is a global electronic signature solution, serving more than 180 countries and used by 99% of the Fortune 100 companies.
Intellectual Data explained that among companies inquiring about DocuSign, content industries such as games and entertainment accounted for 25%, pharmaceutical and bio industries 20%, and foreign companies 20%, indicating high demand in industries with active overseas business. The reasons for considering the introduction of DocuSign include ▲increased work efficiency ▲security and compliance with global industry regulations ▲support for integration with internal solutions through provision of Open-API and Connector.
DocuSign supports 44 languages including Korean, English, and Chinese, making it versatile for domestic and international use. It also reduces costs and time required for printing, sending, and other expenses related to face-to-face contracts, thereby enhancing work efficiency and productivity. In fact, after adopting DocuSign, an average of about $36 (approximately 40,000 KRW) was saved per contract, with a contract signing rate within one day at 82%, and a contract signing rate within 15 minutes exceeding 50%.
