According to Jeju Province on the 11th, 2 people were confirmed positive as of the previous day and were classified as Jeju cases 486 and 487.
Jeju case 486 tested positive at the Jeju Public Health Center screening clinic on the 10th. The route of infection has not been identified.
Jeju case 487 is a family member of Jeju case 485, who was confirmed positive on the 9th.
Thus, the occurrence of 2 new confirmed cases in one day on the 10th is the first time in 50 days since the 8th of last month. The total cumulative confirmed cases have increased to 487.
In Jeju, a clear decline in COVID-19 cases has been observed especially since the beginning of this month: 13 on the 1st, 4 on the 2nd, 10 on the 3rd, 8 on the 4th, 5 on the 5th, 9 on the 6th, 6 on the 7th, 5 on the 8th, and 4 on the 9th.
Notably, from the 4th, the number of new confirmed cases has remained in single digits for seven consecutive days.
