[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced that starting from the 11th, it will implement KB La School in collaboration with the Community Chest of Korea and the Busureugi Love Sharing Association. KB La School is an educational platform where multicultural students and low-income vulnerable students can enjoy studying.
This platform was developed to support the education of low-income youth and to bridge the educational gap caused by COVID-19. To commemorate the launch of the platform, an online inauguration ceremony was held on the 9th with about 90 university student mentors and 200 prospective high school freshmen mentees.
KB La School features well-known instructors such as Director Cha Gil-young of Seven Edu and Instructor Kwon Dae-hyun of Daechi-dong Lee Kang Academy. In addition to online lectures, university student mentors are matched to support youth in career guidance, concerns, and learning. Furthermore, weekend special lectures related to school teachers' grade management and performance evaluation are also provided. Participating youth receive free tablet PCs to facilitate smooth online lectures and scholarship benefits.
