Gimcheon City Supports Traditional Hanok Architecture... Applications Accepted Until the 25th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gimcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Kim Chung-seop) announced on the 11th that it is accepting applications for the Hanok Construction Support Project until the 25th to revitalize traditional Hanok culture.
The Hanok Construction Support Project is a project promoted by Gimcheon City and Gyeongbuk Province to activate Hanok, a future architectural asset, and strengthen regional competitiveness through the utilization of Gyeongbuk-style Hanok culture. The total support amount is 40 million KRW.
The support conditions require applicants to be residents registered and actually residing in Gimcheon City, and the Hanok building must be newly constructed or expanded with a floor area of 60㎡ or more.

An official from the Gimcheon City Architectural Design Department stated, "We are promoting this project to contribute to the popularization of Hanok, Korea's traditional house, through the Hanok Construction Support Project, so we ask citizens for active interest and applications."
