According to Gwangju Metropolitan City, resident A of Buk-gu tested positive for COVID-19 in the afternoon and was registered as case number 1357.
A was confirmed to have had contact with Gwangju case number 1326, who was confirmed the previous day. The infection route of case 1326 is still under investigation.
Including the 16 cases previously announced as confirmed in the Gwangju area on the same day, a total of 17 people were diagnosed as confirmed cases.
