Mayor Cho Orders Strict Quarantine Measures to Block Nearby Farms

View original imageJinju Mayor Cho Gyu-il personally visited the quarantine site to inspect the AI quarantine response system and instructed, “Since AI cases have been occurring nationwide recently, thoroughly control vehicles around the affected farms and quarantine zones, and ensure strict quarantine measures to prevent transmission to nearby farms.”
The city is operating three control posts 24 hours a day to control vehicles around the affected farms’ quarantine zones following the outbreak of highly pathogenic AI in ducks.
To prevent spread to other regions, farms included in the affected area are requested to refrain from going out to other regions, and a full-scale response system has been established including the application of quicklime on farm entrances and disinfection.

A city official stated, “We will also make every effort in disinfecting the culled farms and disposing of residual materials,” and urged, “Farm owners in the jurisdiction must strictly follow quarantine rules such as disinfecting vehicles, people, and equipment, and changing boots. Those participating in culling should refrain from visiting other farms and must report to the health center if they have cold symptoms, adhering to human infection prevention guidelines.”
