According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on the 10th, the government will send notification text messages tomorrow to priority recipients of the 'Small Business Owner Support Fund' worth 4.1 trillion won. Among the 2.8 million small business owners affected by COVID-19, 2.5 million will receive the funds first.
Priority support targets include small business owners who previously received the second round of disaster relief funds and special damage industries subject to gathering bans or restrictions according to government quarantine guidelines. Small business owners who have been subject to gathering bans or business restrictions due to strengthened quarantine measures by the government and local governments since November 24 last year can receive 3 million won and 2 million won respectively.
Small business owners with annual sales of 400 million won or less last year and whose annual sales decreased compared to 2019 can receive 1 million won. These small business owners can apply online starting on the 11th.
To facilitate smooth applications, a system based on the last digit of the business registration number will be operated over two days, with odd numbers applying on the 11th and even numbers on the 12th. From the 13th onward, applications can be submitted regardless of this distinction.
