Dr. Bronner's Sponsors Food Kits for Children Facing Food Insecurity
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Dr. Bronner's, a 163-year-old American organic cosmetics brand, donated food kits worth 30 million KRW to children from vulnerable groups facing food insecurity through the international development cooperation NGO G Foundation as part of the All One Korea Initiative Campaign (hereinafter referred to as the All One Korea Campaign).
This donation of food kits to children facing food insecurity was the first official contribution of the All One Korea Campaign for social justice, carried out in collaboration with G Foundation. The 30 million KRW donation from Dr. Bronner's was used to produce and deliver 150 food kits consisting of instant foods for vulnerable elementary and middle school students who are prone to miss meals due to school meal interruptions during vacations and online classes.
The food kits were carefully selected with over 30 types of foods considering ease of preparation and nutritional value, including instant rice, seaweed, seolleongtang (ox bone soup), milk, and nuts. In addition, Dr. Bronner's added warmth by donating additional products such as its all-in-one cleanser ‘Pure Castile Soap,’ the highly moisturizing ‘Organic Lip Balm,’ and the convenient hygiene aid ‘Peppermint Hand Sanitizer.’
The director of the local children's center responsible for delivering the kits expressed gratitude, saying, “The variety of food items in the kits, which are both nutritious and liked by the children, along with the generous gift of Dr. Bronner's products, resulted in very high satisfaction among the children and their parents who received the kits.”
Also, a representative from Dr. Bronner's stated, “Due to the increased time spent at home caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we heard concerns about the risks during meal preparation and nutritional imbalance when children eat alone, which led us to decide on this donation. We are pleased to deliver food kits to about 150 children, helping them have safe and balanced meals during the vacation period.”

Meanwhile, the All One Korea Campaign is the Korean regional program of the All One International Initiative Campaign started by Dr. Bronner's U.S. headquarters. Following the brand’s shared mission to ‘fight and support what is right,’ it is an international project that donates at least 1% of annual sales in each country to local activities for ‘social justice,’ ‘animal welfare,’ and ‘environmental protection.’
